A6 / Models and Frameworks Toolkit for HR

Choose the model that helps you make the decision.

A framework can help you see a problem clearly, test an explanation or compare possible responses. Its value depends on how well it fits the decision, the evidence and the organisation. This collection helps HR and OD practitioners select models thoughtfully, apply them in real work and review what changes. The toolkit connects 100 core tools, 29 HR Delivery frameworks and 18 external perspectives with practitioner guidance and worked fictional examples.

For HR and OD practitioners, business partners, internal and external consultants, service owners and leaders sponsoring improvement.

The thinking behind the tools

The Model-to-Decision Practice Framework

The A6 Model-to-Decision Practice Framework uses six quality lenses throughout the five-stage HR Delivery journey. Start with the decision, preserve each model’s source meaning and choose a proportionate way to test it in practice.

  1. 01

    Discover

Frame the question, define the scope and agree the evidence needed.

    20 core tools
  2. 02

    Diagnose

Gather different perspectives, test claims and interpret what the evidence supports.

    24 core tools
  3. 03

    Design

Compare models and build a coherent, workable response to the actual problem.

    28 core tools
  4. 04

    Deliver

Prepare a bounded test, support practical use and transfer ownership.

    16 core tools
  5. 05

    Review

Review results and decide what to continue, adapt, scale or retire.

    12 core tools

Six quality lenses. Five delivery stages.

Use these questions throughout the assignment. They guide the quality of the decision; the source frameworks retain their own processes and terminology.

Six questions to test your choice and use of models. The wheel is a practical enquiry guide, without a combined score.
  1. 01

    Question

What decision matters, who owns it and what should this activity help you decide?

  2. 02

    Construct

What does the model describe or measure, and which source meanings must you preserve?

  3. 03

    Evidence

What supports the claim, what challenges it and what remains uncertain?

  4. 04

    Context

Does the method fit the work, people, language, access and consequences?

  5. 05

    Application

What useful output, support and practical test will turn the insight into work?

  6. 06

    Review

What changed, for whom, and should the model be continued, adapted or retired?

The A6 practice framework helps you choose and apply models; it is not a validated assessment or a replacement for the 29 source frameworks. Keep organisational diagnostics, individual assessments and practical work evidence distinct. HRSF and A6MUR have separate purposes and interpretation rules; A6MUR remains a practitioner draft requiring piloting.
